We Have Been On Our Mission Now For All Four Seasons

This is a picture of our church parking lot.  Notice the trees, they are red. I feel like winter in California looks like fall in other places.  It had rained a bit this week which makes everything look green.  We have now been on our mission for all four seasons and soon it will be spring again.

This week we continued with our apartment inspections by completing the ones in our own zone where the young missionaries are completing for the shiniest apartment award.  I must say the missionaries are working hard and their apartments are so shiny that it will be difficult to just give out one award.  We are so pleased.  We will finish our inspections next week and declare a winner.  The inspections have taken up most of our time this month.

We did enjoy a visit this week with some friends from Utah, the Lee's.  We have been friends for our thirty years and they thought it would be easier to visit us while we were in California than to travel to South Carolina.  We had a wonderful couple of days with them even through the weather was wet.

As we count down the last four months of our mission, we look back on all we have learned, all the people we have come to know and love and stay focused on the things we need to accomplish before we go home.  It is truly a blessing to be apart of the gathering of Israel, which President Nelson has said is the most important thing taking place on earth today.  Nothing else compares in magnitude, nothing else compares in importance, nothing else compares in majesty.   He goes on to say that you too can be a part of it.  You can be a big part of something big, something grand, something majestic.
We choose to be involved in the gathering and feel peace and joy every day!
