And The Winner Is...

Elder Ady and Elder Jessop

This transfer we had a very close competition with three companionships tying for second place for the shiniest apartment award but Elder Ady and Elder Jessop went above and beyond not only polishing the door of their fridge but decluttering and organizing every single closet in their apartment.  They definitely went above and beyond to have the shiniest apartment.

Because every single companionship had a very clean apartment we decided to reward everyone with a lunch of nachos after district meeting. We have loved every missionary in our zone this transfer and will miss those who were transferred some where else on Friday.

Front row- Elders Watts, Stevens, Sister Thomas and Burggraff  Second row- Elder Jessop, Thornton,  , Senoir, Shepard, Sister Perez, Bryant, Priestley, Dahl, Simmons, Third row- Elder Fisher,  Wilingham,  Livingston, Carlson, Ady, McKane, Nelson

We had our monthly Adult Family Home Evening held on a members home while the clubhouse is being remodeled.  As always the food was delicious and the message was very good.  Bro. Johnson talked to us about some evidences of the Book of Mormon that he had encountered while on his mission in Mexico.  He doesn't basis his testimony on these evidences, he has come to know that the Book of Mormon is true through the Spirit of God but it is exciting to learn of these evidences nevertheless.

We have been continued to be taught by a ward member on how to make stained glass lanterns which has been fun to learn.

And we have enjoyed more time in the Newport Beach temple again this week.

Us, Sister Spencer, the Fowers

Our fellow senior missionaries and mentors, the Fowers, who finished their mission in January, returned to California for a visit and we were able to enjoy a meal together- just like old times.  One of the many blessings a mission is the lifelong friendships you make.

Random pictures of Elder Prater this week! Another wonderful week in the Newport Beach, California mission.
